Cullum/Towergate Scholarships to Cass Business School
Towergate's Executive Chairman, Peter Cullum, announced the
recipients of the Cullum/Towergate Scholarship at Cass Business
School for Masters level risk and insurance studies. It was a
welcome return for Mr Cullum to the school, where he completed his
own MBA.
The Scholarship will support four students per year for five
years and it will be open to candidates who would like to do an MBA
focusing on risk and insurance. Of these, two scholarships per
annum will be allocated to promising UK residents who are already
working in insurance. These may include students wishing to study
for an MSc in Actuarial Science, MSc in Actuarial Management or MSc
in Insurance and Risk Management.
Mr Cullum commented: "I firmly believe that learning is a real
key to success, and that means improving your knowledge bank and
trying it out in the real world. My time at Cass provided a
brilliant foundation to launch my career and has been a huge factor
in the success I have enjoyed at Towergate.
"I am delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile
qualification. In a world when the relevance of many further
education subjects and results are being questioned, the value of
the Cass Risk and Insurance MBA is beyond doubt and will give the
deserving candidates a great edge."

2006:

- Sandy Reeve
- Swarna Satyanarayana
Sandy Reeve, a British Army Officer who retired as a Captain in
the Corps of Royal Engineers, comments:
"I decided to embark upon an MBA because I felt that I needed a
focus to translate the skills learnt during my military career to
the civilian employment market. I hope that my military background
will bring a different perspective to the course that will enhance
the experience for my peers."
